Welcome You Are The  Visitor The State of Missouri AT Web Page. This page is about our Great State of Missouri . To find out about us click on our name and it will take you to our personal web page . Missouri is located in the central part of the usa almost center . Kansas is the center state and we are right beside it . Congressman Willard Duncan Vandiver of Cape Girardeau County, in 1899 said "I'm from Missouri and you've got to show me." Since then Missouri has been known as the Show-Me State’ Missouri with Its crossroads location and the vast land gulf between its main cities make Missouri hard to define in a handful of words. To the north, the land is dominated by midwestern waves of farmland grain. On the east and west boundaries are the big, bustling and hip riverside cities of St. Louis and Kansas City and Springfield the fertile grounds for jazz and the blues. And to the south, the land climbs into the storied Ozark Mountains. Music plays an important role in Missouri. Legendary figures including Chuck Berry, Scott Joplin and Charlie Parker left their mark on music history here, with their rock-n-roll, ragtime and jazz. And not to mention, we're home to the heart of country music in Branson. The hyperactive town of Branson, a new mecca for country music lovers anywhere, is to the southwest. And, lest you forget, Missouri is the land of Mark Twain, whose hometown of Hannibal is a magnet for people captivated by his tales of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. They call Missouri the Gateway to the West for good reason. Whether by water or wagon, railroad or Mother Road, your adventure begins here. Missouri is the crossroads of some of America's most hallowed paths. Like Lewis and Clark, Missouri is a state of diversity. Big city excitement and historic small towns blend together with rolling countryside, the Ozark Mountains, and the cool, clear waters of the Ozark National Scenic River ways.
